Overview

Red Lion Court is a set of barristers with 20 Queen’s Counsel and over 70 juniors. We represent individuals and organisations in all courts, from the Magistrates’ to the Supreme Court, and particularly in the Crown Court and Court of Appeal.

All members are specialists in criminal law and trial advocacy. We offer unrivalled advocacy experience and a strategic approach to litigation.

A significant and long-established strength is the conduct of serious, complex cases such as high-value fraud and organised crime. In recent years, Members have prosecuted and defended in high-profile cases of great public importance covering murder, terrorism, rape, the environment, insider-dealing and fraud. In addition to our criminal expertise, we offer clients representation and advice in a range of specialist areas at all levels of seniority. Members can be accessed through solicitors or directly by the public under the “direct-access” system.

The service we offer is client-focused, pragmatic, unpretentious and commercially-minded. In addition to the barristers, client-service is supported by highly committed and efficient practice managers who manage the barristers’ commitments and ensure that clients’ needs are accommodated.

The majority of our work is in London and the South East; however, we frequently travel to all parts of the United Kingdom and abroad in the course of our work.
